Welcome to our 2010 newsletter.  It has been a quick year for us and a very busy one.  The time from April to October is what we call “kitten season” and we have had our share of pregnant mothers, mothers with kittens and abandoned kittens.  We hope we will now be able to find homes for all the newcomers as well as some of the cats who have been here for awhile.  Adoptions have been slow and we hear that from other rescue groups also. Some of the smaller groups like ours do not have the funds to open up a store in a mall or hold big adoptions events.  We have to rely on our adoptions which we have at Petco on Niagara Falls Blvd.  If you are interested in adopting a rescue cat, please let us know and I’m sure we can match you up with someone who has been waiting for just the right person to come along! Our adoption fee is $75.00 and our cats are spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV and come with at least their first set of shots.

Newsletter 2010

Once again we would like to thank everyone for their wonderful donations to our shelter this past year. The litter, the food, the bedding and the monetary gifts were greatly appreciated.  We are not funded by county or state so we depend entirely on donations and we would not be able to do what we do without help from people like you.
Thank you also to all the dedicated volunteers we have. Some of you put in long hours at the shelter so that the cats have a place to call home, some of you work at the Lewiston festivals to raise money for the cats and some of you put your talents to work behind the scenes making catnip pillows and cat items to sell. You are truly their guardian angels
